I would think that a very large company would not have to resort to giving free stuff as a marketing strategy.
It allows them to monopolise things.

Freebies were a lot easier to get back in the day. I had a blog devoted to freebies. In like 2008, I got a DoubleTree Hotel tin of cookies. Now I am lucky if I get a tampon in the mail. Most of it is contests now.
